  stable, and wireless-ready)

  • full-size cookie sheets, muffin pans, and cake
         pans.

skateboard park coalition

typs is helping local skateboarders and their supporters get organized! almonte is losing its only skateboarding facility. contact typs if you'd like to help fundraise for a new skatepark.

2 august: typs is closed for the civic holiday

6 august: pop life art gallery trip
who:    youth, adults and seniors welcome
where: national art gallery of ottawa
when: 11am-5pm, meet the bus at 10:45 at typs
what:   a guided tour of the permanent collection 
           and a viewing of the "pop life" exhibit
cost: free for youth
         $19.00 for adults & seniors (all inclusive)

7-8 august: puppets up! festival
where: almonte
what: volunteer at typs' button booth or be a 
          busker

9 august: tie dye in the garden
where:  community garden beside the library
when:    4-6pm
what:     tie-dye your favorite pair of socks, t-shirt,                   bandanas...use your imagination!!!

11 august: salamander theatre workshop
who:      salamander theatre is facilitating a 
             workshop, using shakespeare's text as an               actor's manual, for youth with some acting               experience
where:  almonte's old town hall
when:   2-4pm

what:    travel with anne to brockville to join other 
            youth centres in a day out on the water

volunteers:
  • handyperson/carpenter to help with occasional repairs to small appliances and furniture, building risers and boot racks, installing curtain rods, mirrors, etc.
  • needle-crafter to make curtains, repair or replace upholstery, etc.
  • bookkeeper to input financial info into Simply Accounting (every 4-6 weeks).
  • musician to host regular open-mike coffeehouses.
  • foodies to lead cooking workshops.
  • strong people to help us move (especially if you have a truck or van!)
  • artists to lead art workshops (including knitters, graffiti artists, glass artists, animators, film makers, photograpers, poets… you name it).
  • writers to get stories about TYPS out into the community.
  • a computer-savvy person to set up a membership database.
  • board members to direct TYPS.
